52-Week Money Challenge for 2014

52-Week Money Challenge for 2014

Last year my family participated in the 52-week money challenge and I am so glad we did, which is why we are going to do it again in 2014! If you don’t know what the money challenge is, then you can get some information on the post I wrote “The 52-Week Money Challenge: Will You Join Me?”

So you might be wondering how we did last year. I think we did pretty good even though we had a bit of a situation that required us to dip into the money challenge funds. In June we had a little over $500 in our money challenge account and then something happened… the van broke down! Of course we had to get it fixed and it cost us a whopping $846. Thankfully I had some cash in our money challenge account and we also had a little bit in our regular savings account so we were able to get it repaired. Just imagine if we didn’t have it… what would we do then!?

Fast forward to today and with 2014 here, we want to do the money challenge again. This program was so easy and it was really nice to actually be able to save a good chunk of change. This year, we are going to do it a bit differently. We are doing to do it backwards and starting off with $52 but doing it bi-weekly since hubby gets paid twice a month.

If you are interested in joining me, read the original post from last year where I go into detail about the program. Then use some of these handy dandy printable’s I made for you. I know not everyone gets paid the same so I created one for those that get paid bi-weekly and monthly. I’ve also included some BLANK ones so that YOU can fill them out for your own personal way!

Printable’s:

Did you participate in the 52-week money challenge last year? How did you do?
